Rockin' Review: OPI Bond Girl Liquid Sand Mini Set

I don't know about you, but I never seem to be able to finish a full bottle of nail polish. Before I get through it, the formula gets thick and unusable. Or I just plain get tired of the color. That's why I love getting the mini collections. At this point in my life, I think I have more mini bottles of polish than I do full size ones.

This isn't the newest of OPI's collections. I believe it came out early spring. I just had to buy this set because I love textured nails and have yet to try out this liquid sand/sugar coat trend. I buy my nail polishes at the beauty supply for wholesale and I think it was $6. I could be wrong, so don't quote me!

What makes these polishes unique is their texture. It almost looks like a matte nail polish with fine glitter chunks. You can put a top coat on and it will be a shiny, glittery, sandy polish. I tried it with out a top coat and decided I liked the was it looked better. I am a fan of the clash of matte and glitter finishes. To my surprise, they didn't chip any faster without the top coat. I am not sure why, but I'll take it! And when it does start to chip, it's not like the thick chunky chips with regular polish.

The mini set come with 4 polishes. Jinx is a pinky-coral with a hint of gold sparkle..perfect for summer! Vesper is a deep blue-purple with almost black-purple chunks. Pussy Galore is a ballerina pink with pinky-white sparkle. Solitaire is a shimmery white with shimmery white sparkle. In the photo at the top of this post I have Vesper and Solitaire swatched. I will be swatching the other two in future posts because I have bigger and better plans for them. :)

Have you tried the liquid sand/sugar coat textured polish? What do you think about it?
