DUD-alicious: Maybelline Master Duo

I bought this eyeliner quite a few months ago, and at the time I hadn't dabbled into drugstore brands yet. Working in Prestige Cosmetics at Ulta turned me into a real makeup snob. I only purchased expensive brands because, obviously, they were better quality. But after a while of watching YouTube tutorials and reading beauty blogs I developed an interest in drugstore makeup. If these beauty gurus can buy and love these products, why can't I? So I took a trip to Target to see what there was. I thought the idea of the Duo ended eyeliner applicator was genius! And they had it in PURPLE?! For only 5 bucks? Ok, I'm sold. In fact, I even bought one in purple and one in black. MISTAKE.


PROS: 

• The applicator. I love the duo ended applicator. One side is thin for a more precise application. Flip it to its side and it is thicker for a dramatic look. 
• Price point. I believe I only spent about $5 for it. 

CONS:

• Formula. The consistency is very watery, and the pigment is less than amazing. No matter how many shakes I give the bottle prior to applying or how many layers I can still see my skin through the color.

BOTTOM LINE:

• I should probably throw away the black liner I bought. I will never use it because I have other ones I like better.
• The purple one is still use when I want a purple cat eye look. But I have to press a bright purple eyeshadow on top of it to get the solid look. This combo is awesome, it gives me the POW that I want and lasts all day.
• I will not buy this again, and I won't suggest it to anyone.
